Ravindran Drama Group was started in 1988 by a group of friends, fired by enthusiasm to do something unique and dynamic for Tamil Theatre in Singapore. The group started because of our late friend G Ravindran's vision to keep Tamil Theatre alive in Singapore. Our Drama Group was formally known as Youth Drama Group and was renamed as Ravindran Drama Group(RDG) after his untimely death in 1988 itself. Since its inception, we have grown in terms of repotoire and support - RDG is the first Tamil theatre group to stage both realistic and experimental plays in Singapore!
